Traumatic Cutaneous Wound

     TRAUMATIC CUTANEOUS WOUND

 

The procedure already accomplished in the emergency room is important: the lesion should be abundantly washed with physiologic saline solution (0,9%) to remove foreign bodies, haematomas, ecc.

The necrotic tissue debridement  should be performed, since complex lesions, such as serious trauma and degloving, can give rise to serious losses of the soft tissue and demand complex surgical reconstructions. 

In these lesions hyperbaric
oxygentherapy (HBO) is indicated.
